1. I'm not sure if 40% think Saddam was responsible for 911 or they just think that he was in league with terrorists. I don't believe the former but I do believe the latter. Islamic terrorism is monolithic to most Americans.

2. No doubt the public will weary of losing one a day. Hopefully it will slow down.

3. It is the nature of our people to be satisfied that a very bad man is out of power. Whether or not the threat was exaggerated will be argued for decades.

4. I almost said no one but make that only the most radical opponents of Bush will hold him responsible for one more failed Israeli peace plan. Every recent USA leader has tried and failed.

5. We are not yet convinced that the casualties will continue in the long run. If they do it will no doubt effect Bush's popularity.
