Locals had stories to tell about the old man, fished by himself. Never asked anyone, if asked for the second seat he'd ignore the question. Always had a mess of fish when he came in, one rusty old rod n reel in the boat, huge tackle box. Never said much, just grinned when someone mentioned his constant success.
One day the local game warden suspicioned he might be jackin deer, kept a watch on him all the time,
Old man got tired of it, said something to the warden.
Warden told him he might lay off a bit if the old man took him fishing, he was dying to know how the old goat did it.
Old man moaned and bitched for spell, finally caved. Told the warden to be at the lake before sunrise.
Before the sun had looked over the hills, they were in a cove.
Old man opened the tackle box, took out half a stick of dynamite, lit it, threw it in, when the commotion settled he commenced netting stunned fish.
The Game Warden was stunned, when he got his mouth to working he yelled at the old man. "Gawdamn Henry! Yall can't do that, it's illegal as hell!"
Old man Henry calmly took out another half stick, lit it, handed it to the Warden with the remark. "Hellfire John, yall come out here to fish, or talk."

To each his own SDAI, I've been fishing since before I was old enough to remember. It isn't for everyone.
I love it, and will do it as long as I am able, the notation (K) or (R) denoted whether the fish was kept or released. I actually release the vast majority I catch, no matter the species. I only kept as many as I did because we're planning a fish fry for a Family Reunion in August. And, I release all the big ones, they don't eat too good.
