Putting ourselves in the shoes of the iraqi children, the US soldiers are as threatening to their eyes as the Nazi soldiers were to my parents.
Besides, rather than letting the Iraqi police search for weapons, british soldiers wanted to do it themselves and as a result got killed.
There are much better ways to get the population to cooperate than by threats
