Listen Grasshopper

You are all wrong.

First of all don't worry about us losing our allies. The alpha dog always has allies. We are the alpha dog and we will be longer than you will live. If the Islamic fanatics continue to polarize the world we will have all the friends we can stand.

The only people that still give a whit about the WMD aspect of the war are idealists and and political hacks. Do you really think Puten or Chirac's government gives a damn about WMD beyond possibly causing some embarrassment to the US. Their reasons for opposing the war are past tense. Even now most of the WMD talk is in the UK and the US where it is a potential political issue. Many of the pundits doubt that WMD will be any factor in 2004, as noted here Hell, the ROW is as surprised as we are that no WMD were found.

We are more than capable of protecting our interest in the world for the foreseeable future. If you think we looked good in GWII, imagine us fully mobilized. Technologically we have lapped the world and nobody is really gaining on us.

Here's some history. In Korea 1950 we were destroying the NK army with a relatively small force until the Chinese hoards came in. With some reinforcements we began to kick Chinese ass. Our military wanted to cross the Yalu and finish off the Chinese once and for all. The Russian Air Force came to their rescue and we wisely elected to avoid WWIII.

This was all done with none of the tech advantage we have now.

The Chinese have a strong economy because we have given them the opportunity to have a strong economy. Are they formidable? Yes they are. Will they catch and surpass us? No Way. Can we handle them? Yessir, been there done that.

We may not be the greatest occupational force in the world but we are an awesome military force.

All that said, the Republicans and the Democrats will come and they will go and we will strive to solve problems diplomatically when possible because as a people, we are good.

The next 50 or so years are going to be tough but I think we will be okay.
