I get a kick out of being here, otherwise I would have moved on long ago. My smiley face is a genuine one and if you could see me post the smile is there. It's not fake, it's not tacked on to soften my words.

I think I am pretty even-keeled when it comes to my criticism and opinions. I have seen enough of flame-fests and name calling to last a lifetime and it's not why I'm here. You seem to have a hard time interpreting my sarcasm from flames. A sarcastic comment need not be a flame. Flames imply anger or hatred. I never sit down at this keyboard angry - my general demeanor here is one of amusement or intelligent debate.

I have nothing to prove and when I postulate a bit - I am not trying to declare the way the land lies but rather share ideas. If they are shot down - that's fine. Like I said, I've got nothing to prove and no chip on my shoulder I'm daring folks to knock off.

The longer one lives the more one realizes the futility of anger or bile and the desire to change the world is replaced simply with a desire to improve oneself.

I'm glad you started posting here but I still think you take the stuff too seriously. It's a place to unwind and exercise the finger tips.

The name of the game is sharing and fun - even heated exchanges of opinion can be fun so long as one doesn't get carried away in them.

And if one is not sharing or having fun..what's the point?
