For you HZ is a contest where each post must prevail. Some of your threads with Geoff and Robert (REB) are great examples of "lastwordmanship".

You may think I'm an a-- and maybe a few other posters here do too. But I've been on these boards a lot longer and survived the fallout of heated tassles. I meant what I said. I don't mind being called a "twerp" but I'm certainly not trying to be one.

In six years I can count the serious flame fests I've had on one hand. Heck, when I first joined this board there was concern I was an anomalist and a referendum on my participation. Robert was being dished on by Keith and then I dished on Keith and both of us were banned for a day or so. Even Keith's and my flame war was really less-than-nothing. I have always held Keith a bit pompous and he is one person who agrees with you that I am an a--. But I certainly don't hate Keith - not one iota. He provides a unique service for the space community and I appreciate his efforts. But he is a bit pompous. Nor do I hate you or want you to feel like you are on the receiving end of 'quasi-cruel' comments by me. My flame towards Don was a very rare event - and brought about by weeks of casualty count posts which, IMHO, go beyond the realms of good taste when trying to make a point.

I have the habit of joking when no one expects a joke. I don't take any of this all too seriously. Heck, I still miss doing fake cut-n-paste news reports on the MSNBC boards.

If you expect me to a change on account of you - don't. I'll remain an a-- instead of a twerp and have to painfully live with the loss of your respect.

Heck Lindy couldn't get me to give up the smiley...and I've known her a lot longer than you - what makes you think you had a chance of getting me to give up that emoticon....one I might add whch you use as well.
