Ever try to find out where your elected representative stands on the Israeli expansionists's settlements in the West Bank and Gaza?
Know where any of the Democratic candidates for President stand on this? Ever see one of the few journalists with guts enough to ask them about it? "Mr (or Senator)..., where do you stand on Israel's settlements in the West Bank and Gaza"?
Whatever their stand or your stand, I am outraged by this "conspiracy of silence"- asking fundamental questions about candidate's foriegn policiy stand is treated like farting in church -
Years ago Private Eye ran a piece comparing the Washington Press Corps to a pack of piglets bellying up to the sow. The money involved is too large for them to want to risk losing it by asking anything that might upset the expansionist's supporters here, and that's likely to continue until the rest of the public makes it clear to the fourth estate that they are fed up with it.
While I disagree with Bush Jr on many things, and he has made some very serious mistakes, you have to admit that he's made his position here clearer than most.
