Reasons for lack of jobs:
It's because those tax cuts (the 2001 ones) haven't had enough time to start working yet.
Or it's the minimum wage. There would be lots of dollar an hour jobs out there if only the Feds would get out of the business of regulating wages.
Or it's because we need lots and lots more tax cuts for the wealthy. Those poor wealthy entrepenuers just don't have enough capital to start new businesses, and that's what the economy really needs.
