I see, we should invade a third-wirld country, without a UN Mandate and in a unilateral fashion and we should not invade a third-world country, without a UN mandate and in a unilateral fashion. At the same time and on the same contnent
Or is it wrong in case 1 because the Euros want it to happen, and right in case 2 because the euros didn't want it to happen? This is like shooting yourself in the foot because someone told you not to?
Uh, hello. It is not I who has done the 180 here and wants the US to invade. It's the EU, e.g. France. Oh, and leftists like the ex-Vt Gov Democratic candidate.
Also, as to the rest- I am no expert on African politics but your analysis seems to be about as thin, uncommon and valuable as a $2 bill. Africa is dominated not by socialism, but by Totalitarianism in general. Some of those totalitarians we support or did support (Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Iran etc). Some of those we fought against (idi amin, Quack-daffy, etc).
I would agree with you that the govts are totalitarian. But you are ignoring the basic fact that most of the states are if not pure Marxists like Mugabi, are centrally planned societies where there is no capitalist incentive to produce goods. That is socialism.
I thinkyou used their lies to derive your thesis. I think it is unwise to believe a totalitarian crackpot. And where the hell does Europe enter inot this at all?
Do you have any evidence?
Whose lies? I'm unclear as to your pronoun reference.
As to Europe, here's a few ...
1. The states are former European colonies left ill-prepared by their former masters to transition to the 20th century after the Euro exploitation ended in the 1960s.
2. Europe is asking the US to intervene militarily and clear up their mess. Bosnia redux.
3. Europe has prevented US food aid to Africa because of the unscientific fear of geneticly modified foods (example: Americans morning cornflakes).
