A Far Better Reason
Human's are far more versatile and capable of improvision and changing approaches or following leads on unexpected paths than robots. It costs a high premium in dollars and risk but the return on time invested is far greater. When human's go to Mars we will learn far more than we have with robotic missions in a far shorter period of time.
