"So far Bush lies exist only in the minds of those that hate him for living. "
The real warpage of the truth is to suppose that
1) claims of Terrorist ties
2) claims of sponsored terrorist capms
3) claims of tons of WMD
4) claims of their location
5) claims of ongoing nuclear projects.
were all truthful claims. It seems like we must choose outright dishonesty or ABSURD levels of incompetence.
Do you disagree that this is thew conundrum we find ourselves in?
And as far as a 'mistruth-by-mistake-is-not-a-lie', I am not sure I can warp my reality that far. It seems the magnitude of the slip-ups, on multiple subjects, is so huge that I can't just say, easily: "OH! Well! He was just mistaken!"
Seriously, you expect me the president of the united states could be so incompetent as to make claims 1 through 5?
And then If I were to grant that this was a mistake, do you think that speaks at all well of the competence of our CnC?
And how on EARTH is it an 'understandable' mistake, and not one borne out of intentional or down-right criminal negligence?
So when does this semantic backflipping end? This administration made MASSIVELY incorrect statements that they should not have made. While the 'oops!!' excuse does not float well with me, even if I were to grant it- it just makes them look like a bunch of paralytic rodeo clowns... This is to say: wholly ineffectual.
