There are a lot of right-wing types...
...who see hostility to small farms (mainly governmental, but technological as well) as a bad thing. There are a lot of good Americans who are being pushed into bankruptcy right now, by governmental policies that favor big business farming (and campaign contributions).
This kind of thing puts the lie to your free market riffs. You are supposed to be a champion of the level playing field, no?
