re: The Moon as a World Heritage Site?
I disagree about a farmer in Zimbabwe has equal say about what to do with the Moon as anyone else. I think the folks forking over the money to get to, and develop the Moon, have the most say.
We start regulating everything to do with the Moon, and we’ll never see a permanent presence on the Moon or any where else off the Earth. We’ll be stuck on the Earth by all of our regulation.
Getting industry off the Earth would be a great way to protect the Earth. The Moon is a dead world, but it has resources that could help get humans established into space. It also is a good platform that is near the Earth. It is also a good place for laboratories for certain research
