You know, this is about the fifth post from various people talking about how we overran a "defenseless" country. Cripes, to hear you talk you'd think we'd invaded Fiji.

We went into the teeth of one of the most powerful armies in the Middle East, complete with tanks, artillery, and the rest. Most positions we overran were stocked with nerve gas defense equipment.

People like you were predicting hundred of thousands of casualties on both sides, armies streaming in from all Arab nations, American soldiers dying from Iraqi gas weapons (which the Left apparently thought they had back then) and a months-long pitched battle in the streets of Baghdad's cities.

I sure wasn't hearing "defenseless" back then.

If we did better than we expected, it's because in spite of their forces we were still better-armed and trained than they were, not because they were whimpering victims cowering in foxholes armed with breech loaded muskets.

I'd like to see you go up to some Iraqi veteran someday and sell that "defenseless" bit to him. Extra points for using the word "cakewalk." I'd buy a ticket to see that.
