The 3 million dollar question

Ken Starr spent as much as $100 million on his investigation of Whitewater and the Monica Lewinsky affair, but President Bush thinks that $3 million is adequate for the National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States, also called the 9-11 Commission, to investigate what is arguably the biggest crime in American history.

Relatives of those killed in the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon expressed outrage at Bush hindering the investigation.

''I am going to assume the White House is stonewalling the investigation,'' said Stephen Push, director of Families of September 11.

Article & Essay: Bush Obstructs Investigation Into 9-11 Attack

Recall that Pres. Bush, when informed that "America is under attack" returned his attention to pet goat stories rather than springing into action, as one might reasonably expect. Recall too, that Bush later claimed that he watched the first WTC attack on television, despite the fact that there was no such coverage.

There are many questions about Black Tuesday. President Bush's attempts to prevent, limit and underfund the 9-11 invistigations are but one further indication that his adminstration has something to hide about the darkest day in American history.

Now that the American public is awakening to the fact that Bush and his cronies lied about Iraq, perhaps it will pay a little closer attention to what is known and unknown about September 11, 2001.

President Bush's actions and statements on/about that day are a good place to start.
