Impact rate remains the same - so does the need for more money

Since the impact rate remains the same, if fewer small asteroids manage to get through the Earth's atmosphere, then the number of comet impacts is higher than previously estimated.

Note also that this result was generated by a computer model, and unfortunately the start state for the asteroid population is poorly defined.
