Still, by yours and the administration's numbers, if you subtracted only the tax cuts you would decrease the deficit by a whopping 40%. Which would certainly kill any talk of "record deficits".
Likewise, is it really fair to consider the sucky economy as a reason for deficits? Republicans tend not to give Davis the benefit of that doubt, for instance.
