Where there's a will (and IE), there's a way
That is a bummer, Tom. I know what you mean, it's never the same the second time around.
I just added a feature to the message form that copies the text of your message to the clipboard when you click "Post". This should let you recover the text in case something goes wrong (I find myself paraphrasing the notice that now appears at the bottom of the form, to remind you that this feature exists). Like so many of the goodies, this one's only supported by Internet Explorer.
This should reduce the heartbreak of system failure just a little.
