Tom, you and the other conservatives have reacted badly to past criticisms--from me and others--of Bush's speak loudly and flail about with a big stick style of diplomacy, dismissing it as mere partisan kvetching.

But now it seems that those chickens are coming home to roost. Now we have to go to the UN, and specifically Security Council members like France and Germany, whom Bush has spat upon, and ask for their help; or bear the entire cost for years to come.

Will the "Axis of Weasels" turn the other cheek and be gracious about the past abuse? Or will they exact vengeance upon Bush, and American taxpayers, by letting us continue to go it alone...just as Bush insisted we would. I'm not optimistic. Pissing on old friends and allies is not a smart thing to do.
