I would encourage Americans to buy their prescription drugs from the least expensive source available. Even if that source is in Canada. Then if Canada inflicts mandatory price caps, the drug companies will be forced to decide: Do I continue to sell drugs at a loss to Canada, or do I starve the Canadian sales pipeline, and make my products available only in the markets where those drugs can command higher revenue (Ie the domestic market).

Allowing Americans to buy their drugs in Canada is the free market at its finest. It will cut into drug company profits, but in the long run it will also force the Canadian market to lift price caps or there will be shortages.

Again...The free market at work.
