The real problem is in Pakistan, not Afghanistan

I don't believe that the article is accurate concerning the alleged danger the remnants of the Taliban may pose to the new Afghan government. The Taliban is more of a nuisance than a threat. If the newly trained Afghan Army goes into a battle with Taliban forces and wipes out 90 of them and suffers only 7 casualties, well then what does that tell you? And we may be horrified at the prospects of losing 7 of our soldiers in a single battle but by Afghan standards it's really no big deal. The Afghan soldiers are probably still celebrating their great victory and proudly displaying their red badges of courage. And in reality nearly all of the Taliban's attempted attacks on US troops in Afghanistan have been woefully ineffectual - nothing at all like the lethal attacks on our troops in Iraq.

The real problem is in Pakistan. That's where the Taliban and Al Queda forces fled, that's where they're harbored, fed, armed, and prepared for more fighting, along with Pakistanis and foreigners, whether sent back into Afghanistan or more ominously trained and sent elsewhere for Islamic terrorism.

The workshops of Islamic terrorism have been moved from Osama's camps in Afghanistan to the 'madras' indoctrination schools in Pakistan. That's the real issue.
