After a full week off struggling with WIN98SE, enough, forget it, a pox upon it. I am planning to shift to WIN XP Pro.

Umm, Likely your Hard Disk is just straight-out dying or dead, your next OS is likely to become unstable and die. 98 is possibly the worst OS known to man, but I think its your disk.

I like 2000, but XP pro is just built on 2000... just with more security holes and other crap.
