Is theoretical phisics today really science?
A good question as some theoreticians seem to think that the inherent mathematical 'beauty' of a theory is its most important feature. Testability, i.e. falsifyability does not concern them. As Karl Popper wrote, the essence of science is that predictions be falsifyable. That separates science from philosophy, religion and bogosities such as 'creation science'.
