Space/Science » in reply to re: Mars and its perceptions throughout time

Human nature...

Curiosity is human nature, as is the projection of our personal fears and desires onto some inanimate "other" we don't understand.

Scientists can be as susceptible to human nature as anyone else, as we have abundantly seen throughout history.

And Mars, for whatever reason, has been subject to extraordinary bouts of curiosity, projection and misinterpretation over the ages.

I'm glad that strangers have been joining you in the field, curious about Mars and what you are doing. I'm glad you are observing in the field!

There is still so much more to discover, whether we are stuck to the surface of the Earth or soar through the heavens....

Cheers, BRFelix
