You have a hypothesis, which you test. If one author can make itr work, he writes a paper. That gets peer-reviewed, which means that a couple or three other scientists agree it is plausible.

What missions are any of your instruments flying on in the near future? Oh! You mean you don't have any instruments to test your ideas on Mars?
C'mon Nick, you are a geologist who sneers at the idea of life on Mars cause it spoils yer pet CO2 theory.
What do you think of Dr. sears work on liquid water on Mars? How are you going to debunk it considering he has completed the lab experiments under Martian conditions?
