"Hoffman chooses to post whatever he feels he has to to discredit me and my colleagues, so what is good for the goose is good for the gander."
I'm sorry, did you get credit for something? I missed that episode of the Laura Lee show I guess.... Honk honk.
"By the way "Mr. intelligence" you haven't mentioned a word about the abstract of the paper I posted, how come?"
Frankly Barry I really don't care too much about Blue Mars/White Mars. I'll accept the discussion of which liquid/gas volatiles formed certain features on Mars and when as important to understanding Mars as a whole but that's not really my field.
I'm more interested in you as a white blood cell is interested in biochemical rubbish that doesn't belong in the body.
I'll consistently come down on Hoffman's side here because he has an understanding of and uses the methods of science unlike yourself.
As opposed to the caracature of a scientist you pwetend to be, he is a scientist. I don't have faith in him or his ideas, just the method he uses.
I don't have to defend him, he does a fair job of that himself, including admitting where some of his theories have turned out not to be the best explanations. Ever backtracked from positions taken in your book Barry?
If so, I'll be impressed.
The thing I'm still not sure about is your level of cynicism here. Do you really believe that you're a scientist and that your conclusions are by logically valid methods or are you just still trying to keep the book sales alive by creating the illusion of a controversy and living a lie while drinking heavily and loathing yourself.
I hear the "Amatuer Astronomers" handbook is still in some libraries. Be a good time to read it, so you might be able to join in one or two conversations.
[sigh] Ok fine. Wanna piss over education? My education is in Physics, a hard science where we learn fundamentals of how reality works, mathematics, and problem solving skills. What's yours?
And judging by the accomplishment of many Amatuer Astronomers who display their wares here, I'd be proud to wear that mantle if and when I get a telescope and leave a certain poor air-quality city in Texas.
