re: I notice you didn't touch any my replies from earlier this week.

ET,

I'd love to stay and chat with you and the other duct tape and canvas clad Mars gladiators all night but frankly, I have some work to do. I must admit, you guys really make me laugh though. I come here for the laughs. I'll answer a couple of yer zanney questions and off I go to work:

ET: I'm more interested in you as a white blood cell is interested in biochemical rubbish that doesn't belong in the body.

Gee, thanks. I didn't think you cared! You sure respond to my posts a lot. You must really secretly admire me.

ET: consistently come down on Hoffman's side here because he has an understanding of and uses the methods of science unlike yourself.

Sure I use the methods of science, but quite honestly, I would say the massive amount of current evidecne points to water, not CO2 flows carving the tributaries on Mars.

As opposed to the caracature of a scientist you pwetend to be, he is a scientist. I don't have faith in him or his ideas, just the method he uses.

I'm not asking for anyone's faith! All I am asking for all concerned to look at the swinging tide for life on Mars. Not so bad a thing is it really? I feel the evidence from the Viking Labeled Release is almost a sure indication of microbes on Mars. Combine that with todays report from Dr. Sears on the stability of liquid water on Mars and you have a good working scenario for life on Mars. Of course Beagle 2's GAP instrument will tell us more about organics on Mars. Until December you and I will have to try and contain ourselves.

BD signing off...and remember to polish yer zubbie suit boots, they get mighty dusty on Mars, er, I mean Utah.

bye...
