Thank god we have

1) Tied up the majority of or combat capability in Iraq for an indefinite period.
2) Exhausted all post-9/11 good will of the UN and maimed our alliances, including NATO, to the point of them being worthless and unthreatening.
3) Maxed out the ability of our economy to incur unforseen expenses, such as war
4) fatigued our military equipment and supply infrastructure to near the breaking point by deploying our best equipment for long periods.

OTHERWISE, Iran and Korea might actually see us as a threat.

Oh. Wait. Wouldn't that be a GOOD thing if Iran and Korea took us seriously right now?

Sorry, I have been listening to conservatives too much today, and I was getting so used to invasion being cast as 'liberation', and occupation as being 'freedom' that I forgot it wasn't opposite day.
