How to get data from an HTML form into a SQL database

That was the question I asked a few months ago and got some Help from Robert, Larry and Mcfly. The solution to my problem (a project for the school I attended) was simple- Screw HTML and write the form In Visual Basic.

Well, four months of spare time and hair pulling produced a product that just plain rocks. Instead of one form there are now seven , supporting three areas of information gathering. All the info goes into the relational db with few constraints since I tried to anticipate every input error buy the user and handled them on the VB side. I had to be so anal because software testing is one of the courses taught at the school and I'm sure the program will be gorilla tested.

One thing I'm really happy with, the director wanted to be able to install the database on any machine on the network.
With a tip from a VB BBS, I found something called sql-dmo. Using the objects in sql-dmo, when the progam starts, it looks for all the "availble servers" and then from that list, it searches them one by one looping through the databases looking for the program's db and connects to it when found.

Well the second project which is almost as cool has only taken two weeks. It has a registration and a password login which was kinda fun to write. I'd like to be able to grab the time from someplace like 'nettime' and check to make sure the form hasn't been back dated by turning the system clock back. Im not sure how to do it but that's what so cool about programming: What ever you can imagine you can probably create.

Well, if you're bored to tears by now just imagine what my wife has gone through ;-)

Thanks for listening
