Awesome!

Sounds great, Rob :-)

Well, if you're bored to tears by now just imagine what my wife has gone through ;-)

Lucky me, my wife loves programming! She's snuck some CS classes into her studies toward a Nursing degree, and can now whip out really cool stuff in VB.

I firmly beleive that once you've got some server-side/network programming under your belt, a lot of doors open. And as far as a "real language," I can really see a lot of appeal in VB. It's all about leveraging Win32 heavily and getting the job done. Business loves it. I got into it for a while and thought it was terrific, but I've slid back into c++ mostly because I'm cosy with the syntax. As far as writing your typical, practical business application, though, I don't see that c++ has any distinct advantages over VB.

What do the rest of you code monkeys...er, programmers...think? :-)
