The Freedom of the liberal press to misrepresent stories and avoid responsibility

The fact is the NYT simply repeated the claims of a baathist lacky after the war and the rest of the press repeated it lemming style for days on end.
There is no way a small, back page story months after the press's failrure was made plain balances out their irresponsibility.
