Having a goal and pushing for it as hard as one can is not dictatorial. In order to dictate, one has to have some sort of force at one's command, besides ambition and energy. Unless you are suggesting some form of coercive activity, such as blackmail (and you'd better have proof of that), or an abuse of political power, such as buying government influence (and you'd better have proof of that as well), your images of vast Martian conspiracy and jackbooted Martian militia fall short.

If they make their case better than you do, then it's up to you to make your case better than they do, in terms that scientists and engineers can support, and that the public can understand. That would have to be two separate takes, but if you have a case, you can do it.

Using inflamatory language only makes you look like a nut. "[A] pack of demented vicious fascist swine"? I can almost hear the veins pop out of your forehead. Are you deliberately trying to draw fire because you're having a hard time getting attention any other way? That's what it looks like to me.

It scans well, though.

You also do damage to the concern you have about impactors when you launch into a tirade. Conventional wisdom says, if a nut is worried about something, it's probably not that serious.

PS -- I've been to your Mr. Ed "website for children". The gratuitous death by Martian plague that you confer on Zubrin indicates a level of vindictiveness I find troubling. If you had wanted to kill off someone in your projection, you didn't have to pick a person for whom you have such personal antipathy.

When I learned that Michelangelo painted the faces of his enemies in Hell in "The Last Judgment", I thought it was funny 500 years later, but I'm sure it wasn't funny to the people in the painting at the time. Michelangelo is excused for his temper because he was an artistic genius who had to work for an overbearing Pope for years. You cannot offer similar excuses.
