For years obviously guilty criminals have gotten off the hook because of weak leftist legislation. A bit of rightist legislation is simply a balance to previous legislation - insuring justice is served.

Unless you believe bilking seniors out of their life savings or building pipe bombs are the activities of ordinary citizens - it's not going after "ordinary" citizens at all.

In a healthy society - they put the criminals in jail and do not find excuses and loopholes for them.
