Remember George McGovern? I do. I was just a snotty nosed high school kid at the time. All the other kids along with most of America's liberals thought that McGovern was the Messiah. The only thing McGovern actually had in common with the Messiah was in getting crucified. We were then stuck with Richard Nixon until he resigned (not our worst president but arguably the most crooked one). If the Democrats trot out a McGovern clone (Dean) then it almost assured that he will be crushed by Bush. I wish Lieberman (sp?) could get his act together. I think he could make a decent President and would give Bush some decent competition.
