re: I did it first . . .

. . . or so I thought -- which really gets me p/o'ed.

What's new under the sun these days?

* I had the premise for "Mit-Ro-Don" completed on paper (about 1976) and Star Wars hits the theaters in 1977 -- so I shelve it (finally published in 2000).

* I write about the ignition of Jupiter (mine was by human interaction) while stationed at Holloman AFB, N.M., in '87, only to learn that Sir ACC did it in his '85 "2010" (it was completed, and now I'm "working on it" [“Cydroid”*] -- as well as its prequel [“The MARC I Rebellion”*]).

* I come up with a neat sci-fi/fantasy that involves the Pentagon, and offers a glimpse of the World Trade Center approx. 20 years in the future, and 9/11 occurs (I have that one [“The House of Tchrlok”*] rewritten, however, and it still looks very promising -- thinking of pushing it out to Baen Books).

Trudgin' along,
Dan
