Like DEBKAfile, some sources badly need confirmation from other sources before you can take something like this seriously. Plausible? Maybe. So is a lot of stuff from DEBKAfile. But if plausibility were all we were going by, we'd be in real trouble.

That being said, I would not be surprised if the Saddam issue is settled one way or another before too long. This would be a tremendous help in the rebuilding of Iraq, as Saddam is still a big issue with many Iraqis, both the civilians trying to rebuild their country, and the guerillas trying to rebuild Saddam's empire.

Saddam is indeed running scared. It is uppermost in his mind that his sons were turned in by the host who was hiding them. And got paid damn well for it.
