Since: a) California politics haven't changed much in the last 25 years, and

b) California is not already the smoldering ruin that you predict,

then: we can safely conclude that you are full of Tech, as usual.

California could secede from the union and give the remaining US a race for "leadership of the free world". Californians have nothing to be ashamed of.
