Wow. I must've struck a liberal nerve or something.

C'mon SDAI, you got your head up Georgie's arss again, all wrapped up in some type of psuedopsychological type of political analysis that's based on some pie-in-the-sky rhetoric that is SO far based from reality, that reading your post actually makes me ill.

Sorry to make you ill. That's the danger of reading opinion corntrary to one's own.

Now that I have some food on my stomach, I have to ask you how you think some privileged, blustery, cocky, born-again, ex-alcoholic and cocaine user from Texas with CIA ties and NO idea about international politics is going to take us anywhere but deeper into the hole we're already in is beyond me.

Sometimes its those who are not raised and groomed for a position which allow for new perspectives and ways of doing things that can get it right. Bush is no genius but his foreign policy is extremely intelligent despite this. He is not handicapped by having been a 'team player' in Congress where you vote against your conscience five times out of ten.

Because he does not think of himself as the most intelligent person in any room - he actually listens to what others tell him and then bites the bullet and makes the tough decisions.

His business tactics are sleezy and he protects the sleeziest of his business partners that
throw money at him and his campaign, out of jail, hidden under the guise of "national security". He and his father are in bed with the Saudis, who are the REAL architiects of 9/11, and you just keep eating it up like you're in some type of La-la Land.

I know all about the Saudis. Being a capitalist is not a crime. 270 million people in the US are engaged in the pursuit of making money. There is no such thing as a president who is not approached by countless special interests. Yes, the dysfunctional house of Saud is a problem and this Iraq war actually allows us to be less dependent upon them for oil in the future. The Saudis know this so they are unsure what is in their best interests. A fundamentalist state in Iraq could sweep them away as well, so generally the leadership do not want to see the Americans fail. However, the fundamentalists within the family in Saudi Arabia do wish to see failure because they are shortsighted and not the swiftest.

It's the German in you. Somewhere, deep inside of you, you THINK you have the answer as what is good not only for us, but for everyone else.

Do Germans have all the answers? Hardly. I am just as highly critical of what the Germans are doing now as anything else. What's with it with you and Germans anyway? Do you hold anti-German beliefs?

This is laughable because you have NO earthly experience with what life is really like. For one, you're young. Two, you've never been married (ever been out on a date?) and three, you have no kids of your own! I mean, when was the last time you had a REAL job?? How in the hell would you know what's good for anyone??

This made me smile. ;-) For someone who has never met me you seem to assume an awful lot. But more importantly, from this statement you are saying you believe wisdom bestowed only upon 'old', married folks with children? That's certainly not going to win over the single mothers and 'alternative' lifestyle crowd. Are you sure you're not Ashcroft in disguise? And what about folks living together in sin without kids - are these folks damned to stupidity and ignorance also? ;-)

And as for the rest...what exactly is a 'REAL' job? Sweating blood? Digging ditches? Everyone works and provides according to their strongsuits and abilities. I've had my callouses and sweat my fair share - it's the American way to seek better jobs and more money for them. Nikola Tesla dug ditches when he came to America for ten cents a day. As soon as he was able, after a few weeks he put his knowledge to use in other fields and the world is a better place because of it. Your statement reeks of class warfare and the assumption that the rich all just catch big bags of money every month from the sky as gifts from some Republican God. You sound very bitter here.

It's that freekin aspartame that has got to your brain. Either that or you RELISH your prose with poetry just to hear yourself talk, and make all of us think your're really OUT there, with no relief or medication in sight. ;~)

Diet Rite and Royal Crown colas use Splenda. I don't love to hear myself talk - but I knew that Bush's speech was being given the shaft and its significant parts glossed over. If I have something to say, I say it. If not I read and enjoy.

Bush is not like other Presidents who merely give lipservice to an issue. When Bush says he wants to stop slave traders, child exploitation, etcetera - he MEANS it. He let on a bit about the safer and saner middle east ceasing to be an exporter of violence - but this too was ignored. Bush is a rare bird, because he is following his conscience. He may be too religious for my tastes - but it works for him and that's fine. Having a President who wants to be Holier than the Pope is a nice change from one who wants to be a Dutch porno-star.

I'm glad to see I still can rile you. You need to relax, take a deep breath and realize:

Bush is the best thing to happen to the Presidency in 8 years. No waffling poll driven President here. Just what the world needs after 9-11. When he's gone and a 'professional' politician returns, you'll miss him. Just wait and see!

;-)
