If Valerie Plame is a CIA agent that needs her associations kept secret. What what exactly needs to be kept secret. Not the fact that she is married to Wilson. Nor the fact that Valerie Plame works in the CIA. So what is the fuss about? And who is to blame if there is any blame to be had? Wilson stepped into the spotlight purposely. And his blatent parisanship begs the question, "Who is this guy & why is he going the Niger?"
Frankly, I think the whole issue is either dumb & dumber, or it's valued as a misdirection to protect some French intel [probably both].
[Or with Wilson as being at one time the ambassador to Niger {a good post for a "surfer dude"} who then become ambassador to Iraq [not a obvious choice for the "surfer dude"]. This of course is an interesting story- or a good movie plot. It's seems almost as though this was thrown out as bait, but the media *somehow* sort of ignored, so the next step is to turn into a scandal so the press would finally notice it. So it's all a plot to get a movie deal- Iraq & WMD is over, so why not retire & cash in. And this is simply a way to de-classify revevant information, so it can be sold and billed as a "true story". Wild? Sure, but you could make a million or two. [Or all of the above:]]
