I figured that this is what they were up to when they decided to drop their appeals to the US Supreme Court
By leaving the whole mess unresolved by the Supremo Justices, they have allowed themselves an oppoortunity to start the whole process over at the State Court level.
Look for them to attempt to stall the certification of the election and keep Davis in office indefinitly.
(I believe the law is written that the winner takes office the next day)
