re: bad link?

Hardly news. We were in a War with Soviet Union and it was well known that we backed Afghan who opposed Soviet occupation. We had made no agreement to have sanctions against Afghanistan. Are you suggesting that the US does not have right to sell arms? [Now, we do have laws which curb arm sales, but this a matter which Congress can decide to alter or change depending on circumstances]
Does it mean anything to you that France had agreed to the sanctions against Iraq? Is it *ok* to agree to international agreements then secretly go against that agreement by selling to third party which then smuggles into Iraq? Does profit trump all international agreements?
Or perhaps, France simply in a covert war with the US and/or other coalition members? Over here in the Land of the Free, we still consider France an ally, is that merely wishful thinking? Or have the lizard people taken over?

[The link now works for me & I read article- the issue regarding Stinger missiles was discussed at time when we invaded Afghanistan. Most of talking heads thought they would be too old to still function reliably without support spare parts].
