I read somewhere that the pagan tribal bedouin used to make pilgrimmages to Mecca long before Mohammed, where they 'communed' with the meteorite, which was placed on a granite boulder. This makes sense to me as I've 'communed' with a meteorite myself, being fortunate enough to have one bestowed upon me. My innate understanding of the Universe seemed to be fast-tracked when I touched it and gazed at it - maybe it was my imagination, but maybe information contained in the crystalline (?) matrix somehow gets downloaded into your brain & you receive direct understanding. The 'enlightenment' true believers attain at the centre of the huge vortex, created by the mass of hiumanity spiralling around the Kaba, is easier to understand, as many pagan/earth cultures knew of and practiced this, such as the spiral path walked up Glastonbury Tor, where at the summit there is (according to legend) a Door to another dimension, Heaven or Hell according to your soul's karma, and the Faerie Kingdom. - walking the spiral path concentrates the raw emotional energy to Phi at the centre, and facilitates a transcendental experience. Pharoahs also astral travelled in their sarcophagi placed at Phi, the very centre of the pyramid.
