Look at this line carefully:
"Exit polls reveal that most of voters who cast ballots in Tuesday's recall election were white, female, Republican, college-educated and financially comfortable, with more than half of interviewed voters reporting a household income of $50,000 or more."
This statement would be equally true:
Almost half of those interviewed reported an income of LESS than $50,000 of combined household income.
There is a serious flaw in your argument, and that is the word "reporting" - I'm sure not everyone who was polled reported their income. Without figures for other income levels, it could be that 5% reported incomes of $50,000 or less and 45% didn't report their income, or 25%/25%, or almost anything.
I don't really care much either way about California politics, "As ye sow, so shall ye reap", but I don't like fake arguments.
