On the contrary, I would advocate that everyone in the world spit into the ocean because it is my suspicion that over the eons of time that the Earth has existed some of the ocean water has evaporated into the atmosphere and while in the atmosphere the suns energy has broken some of the molecules into atoms and some of the atoms may have escaped into space, due again to the influence from the suns energy. So spitting into the ocean may restore some of the liquid that has been lost ;-)
Just to be extremely nitpicky, and yes I know you were trying to be clever, but in order to restore any water lost from the atmosphere it would need to come from outside our ecosystem. Otherwise were still just recycling the same water.
