Lately I try not to take to heart all the BS that continues in Iraq and from our own administration.
It's more than embarrassing, it's frightening. It's like being forced to watch the rape of Iraqi society again and again, because "it's for their own good". How else are we going to "win"?
I mean, Washington didn't think of it in human terms. The whole lead up to the war was ludicrous. You can't go into a city of 8 million with a different culture and different religion and force them into submission without real problems, and without using brutal force. No wonder American soldiers are commiting suicide.
The Bush administration is guilty of all this with no REAL reason, other than their PNAC and wanting to control a large resource of the world's oil.
This greed, this outrageous use of the American military for personal gain for a bunch of defense and oil contractors, is a deed that will some day need rectification, either by charging the bums with a criminal offense or getting them out of office and trying to make ammends. However, we have just created a new situation that is BIGGER and will be more imposssible as the days go on with the likes of Israel and Palestine.
AND, I find it truly disheartening that not ONE of you addressed the problem with Arnold, Ken Lay and the process of deregulation in California.
May you all eat crow one day.

Inexcusable? Another embarrassing moment for the US
