Its this kind of inflammatory rhetoric that keeps reasonable people from finding reasonable ways to respectfully and peacefully coexist in spite of their cultural differences. Mr. Mohamad has sunk to a new low. I find this remark to be the most telling:

"For well over half a century we have fought over Palestine. What have we achieved? Nothing. We are worse off than before. If we had paused to think, then we could have devised a plan, a strategy that can win us final victory."

Well, perhaps if the Muslim community of nations had chosen a path that recognized Israel's right to exist in peace and prosperity, the fighting might have ended years ago and the Palestinian people themselves would be living independently in peace and prosperity. Perhaps we all would be enjoying the fruits of "final victory."
