If you triple auto registration fees - it's a BIG problem. If Bush suddenly raised income taxes on everyone by 10% it would be a BIG problem.
387 billion is a big figure but if you trim the waste and find less offensive ways to plug that deficit and turn it into a surplus - nobody will mind it.
