Seeing as how this is the Flame board, I'm not going to delete this thread. Todd seems to regret starting it, and so I think that leaving it in place serves as a useful reminder and a caution against taking that tone again.
I'll add my two cents' worth: This is the stupidest flame I've ever seen. It rates about 4.0 on vocabulary, 0.2 for style, and -5.7 for class. It's a "backdraft" flame that ends up burning only its author.
I appreciate a good flame, one which shows some flair and elan, some bravura as well as wit. A good flame wields words with rapier precision. Todd's attempt possessed none of those qualities. In terms of wit, it was an assault with a blunt instrument.
Relax, Lindy. Save your outrage for somebody who's worthy of it.
