America's right wing media convinced many Americans that TWA flight 800 was shot down by a missile, the OKC bombing was caused by Iraqi nationals, and Vince Foster was murdered. Its a very unfortunate state of affairs.

I listen to radio talk shows all the time, both local and national. None of the major national talk shows has ever made any of these claims, and I challenge you to find anything like that on Fox News. If there is another "right-wing media" source, let me know.

I will grant that a few local talk show hosts have raised this kind of screwball stuff. I know of two in particular that have a bee in their bonnet about Flight 800.

Now, if you go to the internet, all bets are off. I could find a web page advocating just about any crackpot theory you could come up with.

I would like to see a survey of how many Americans actually believe any of those things.
