Another interesting fact...
It seems that half of the missiles used in that attack were made in France AFTER the 1991 arms embargo. That isn't to say that France directly violated the embargo. They could've sold the weapons to another country who them sold them to Iraq. Still, combined with earlier reports of post embargo Roland SAMs being found in Iraq, this isn't encouraging.
